3月5日上午9時，第十二屆全國人民代表大會第五次會議在人民大會堂開幕，李克強總理向大會做政府工作報告。

報告在回顧上一年工作成果時指出，全年經(jīng)濟社會發(fā)展主要目標任務圓滿完成，經(jīng)濟運行緩中趨穩(wěn)、穩(wěn)中向好。

每一年的政府工作報告都會對上一年的經(jīng)濟社會發(fā)展狀況作出概述性總結，“穩(wěn)中有進、穩(wěn)中向好、緩中趨穩(wěn)”等以“穩(wěn)”字為核心的表述也逐漸成為報告中的高頻詞。

2017年

Progress has been achieved and stability ensured in economic and social development, the main tasks and targets for the year have been fulfilled, and major achievements have been made in reform, opening up, and socialist modernization.

2015年

總體平穩(wěn)，穩(wěn)中有進
A stable performance while at the same time securing progress

一年來，我國經(jīng)濟社會發(fā)展總體平穩(wěn)，穩(wěn)中有進。“穩(wěn)”的主要標志是，經(jīng)濟運行處于合理區(qū)間。
During the past year, China has, overall, achieved a stable performance while at the same time securing progress in its economic and social development. The main indication of this stable performance is that the economy operated within an appropriate range.

2014年

穩(wěn)中向好
Stable and improved economy

經(jīng)濟運行穩(wěn)中向好。一年來，我們堅持穩(wěn)中求進工作總基調，統(tǒng)籌穩(wěn)增長、調結構、促改革，堅持宏觀政策要穩(wěn)、微觀政策要活、社會政策要托底，創(chuàng)新宏觀調控思路和方式，采取一系列既利當前、更惠長遠的舉措，穩(wěn)中有為，穩(wěn)中提質，穩(wěn)中有進，各項工作實現(xiàn)了良好開局。
The economy was stable and improved. Last year, we adhered to the general work guideline of making progress while maintaining stability. We worked to maintain stable growth, make structural adjustments and carry out reform in a holistic way. We ensured that the government's macro policies are stable, micro policies are flexible and social policies meet people's basic needs. We improved the ways of exercising macro-control and adopted measures with both short-term and long-term benefits in mind. We strove to break new ground, improve quality, and make progress while ensuring stability. All our work got off to a good start.

Steady and fast development

我們有效應對國際金融危機的嚴重沖擊，保持經(jīng)濟平穩(wěn)較快發(fā)展。
We effectively countered the severe impact of the global financial crisis and maintained steady and fast economic development.
