The Black Mirror was created by English satirist Charlie Brooker and was first aired on British Channel 4 in 2011. Charlie Brooker once explained the series' title to The Guardian: "If technology is a drug – and it does feel like a drug – then what, precisely, are the side-effects? This area – between delight and discomfort – is where Black Mirror, my new drama series, is set. "
《黑鏡》由英國諷刺作家查理?布魯克（Charlie Brooker）創(chuàng)作，2011年在英國電視四臺首播。查理?布魯克曾經(jīng)向《衛(wèi)報》解釋過此劇的標題：“如果科技是毒品的話——而且它的確很像毒品——那么，它到底有什么負面影響呢？這片介于開心和不適之間的區(qū)域，就是我的新劇《黑鏡》的立足點。”
