ABOUT LIAONING NORMAL UNIVERSITY
Founded in August, 1951, Liaoning Normal University (LNNU) has more than 77,000 graduates. The faculty includes 1,897 among which 1,005 are full-time teachers, 50 Ph.D. supervisors and 402 Master advisors. The university currently has 15,749 undergraduates and 3100 post-doctoral students. About 1,000 foreign students come from different countries including the US, Japan, Russia, Germany and South Korea, etc.
LLNU has established 22 colleges and centers offering 75 orientations for undergraduate students, 99 for graduate students and 13 for Post Doctorate courses. Academic research is conducted at several centers on campus such as the Research Center for Basic Course of Ministry of Education, the Key Research Center in the Humanities and Science of Ministry of Education, the Marine Economy and Sustainable Development Research Centre of LNNU, the Authorized National Information Training Center, the Center for Chinese Language Learning of Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council, the Dalian Examination Center for HSK Chinese Proficiency Test, the Confucius Institute at University of Miami(Ohio),the Dalian Examination Center for Overseas Computerized of Ministry of Education, IELTS Testing Center, and the Distance Learning center. LNNU also hosts International Business School, a branch campus of Southwest Missouri State University.
The motto for LNNU University is “The erudite student is a model of virtue for others.” Laying emphasis on undergraduate program, the university is also dynamically developing post-graduate programs for Masters, Doctors and foreign students. Our faculty is comprised of the first-rate professors looking forward and continuously working hard to improve our institution of higher learning and research-intensive university.
