10月18日，《新快報》記者陳永洲被長沙警方以“涉嫌損害商業(yè)信譽罪”跨省刑事拘留。之前，該記者曾采寫上市公司中聯(lián)重科的負面報道。

Chen, who has been in criminal detention since Saturday, faces charges of "damaging business reputation" five months after the newspaper published his reports that Zoomlion Heavy Industry Science and Technology Development, a giant engineering company in Changsha, allegedly falsified its sales and revenue in Hunan, Hubei and Jiangxi provinces.
陳永洲自上周六起以“涉嫌損害商業(yè)信譽罪”被刑事拘留，5個月前，陳所在的報紙（《新快報》）曾刊登他寫的一系列有關長沙工程公司巨頭中聯(lián)重科涉嫌在湖南、湖北及江西等省銷售造假行為的報道。
Damaging business reputation就是“損害商業(yè)信譽”，是指捏造并散布虛假事實（fabricating and spreading false facts）、損害他人商業(yè)信譽和商品聲譽、給他人的權益造成重大損失的行為。
長沙警方稱陳永洲有關中聯(lián)重科的負面報道（negative reports）屬于捏造事實（fabricating facts），未經(jīng)認真核實（without a proper verification process）。而《新快報》方面則表示，陳永洲采寫相關報道是正當職務行為（doing his job），希望長沙警方能夠釋放該記者并在法律框架內解決該問題（to solve the problem within the legal framework）。周六，央視播出該記者受訪視頻、承認收人財物發(fā)表失實報道（receiving money to write defamatory reports）后，《新快報》于周日在頭版刊登公開道歉聲明。
