A woman in Harbin, the capital of Heilongjiang province, was arrested for trying to sell a tiger skin for 1 million yuan ($164,600), CCTV reported on Wednesday.
According to the city's forest police, they found recently that the suspect was offering the tiger skin for sale. The illegal sale of rare and endangered wildlife and products is a crime in China.
The woman told police the skin was a family heirloom.
Police arrested the women with the approval of the city's procuratorate. The case is under further investigation.
