GUIYANG - The death toll rose to four in the explosion-triggered landslide in Guizhou province, while another two people were rescued and three remain buried, local government officials said on Sunday.
The four owners of the cement plant where the explosion took place have been detained by police.
The landslide was triggered at 6:40 pm Saturday in Changshun county, when workers at a cement factory used explosives to get rock from a hill. Nine workers were buried immediately.
Rescue work for the remaining three is under way.
