TIANJIN - Six severely injured people are in stable condition after a coach carrying college students rolled over in North China's municipality of Tianjin on Friday, killing 35 people and injuring 20 others, doctors said on Sunday.
The six patients suffered head trauma and bone fractures, forcing them to remain in intensive care, according to a doctor from Renmin Hospital in Tianjin's Wuqing District.
The hospital said it has gathered the city's leading medical experts to provide treatment for the patients.
The rest of the injured were treated at three hospitals in Wuqing, including Renmin Hospital.
A coach rolled over after crashing into a car at 3:50 pm Friday on the Tianjin section of Binhai-Baoding Expressway, killing 35 people and injuring 20 others.
Most of the coach's passengers were students on their way back to Tangshan College in neighboring Hebei province on the last day of the weeklong National Day holiday.
An initial probe indicated that the coach was speeding and overloaded when the accident happened. The victims said the coach was privately owned and operated.
