As the Chinese Lunar New Year and the Year of Rooster draw near, a variety of rooster-themed products are being released all around China.

The rooster occupies the 10th position in the Chinese Zodiac, or shengxiao, a circle of 12 animals that measure the cycles of time. The rooster is the zodiac animal of people who were born in the lunar years for 1921, 1933, 1945, 1957, 1969, 1981, 1993, 2005 and or will be born in 2017.

The upcoming Year of the Rooster starts on Jan 28.
