A national off-road racing, along with its culture carnival, is to kick off on Dec 5 in Quanzhou, Fujian province, said a press conference held Friday.

The 5-day event will feature several racing categories, including modified, production, and women's teams. A dedicated rookie team will be introduced to encourage new participants to experience the thrill of racing firsthand. The race track will challenge drivers with obstacles like large humps, double humps, drift corners, and S-turns, ensuring an exciting and safe competition.

It will combine automotive racing with music, dance, fashion, tourism, and food to create a dynamic cultural carnival. This will include food festivals, electronic music, and product exhibitions to create a sustainable automotive carnival economy and establish a strong regional brand.

Luojiang district of Quanzhou will continue organizing cultural, sports, and tourism activities to enhance its image and attract tourists, according to its organizers.

Quanzhou city's "sports plus" initiative integrates culture, heritage, and regional characteristics into sports events. By combining sports with tourism, catering, and other industries, the city aims to create a "follow the event to travel" experience, attract tourists, and drive economic growth.

Scheduled to take place from Dec 5th to 9th in Luojiang district, the event is expected to attract over 200 racers from across the country.
