Visually, hearing impaired runners join with guides at Beijing Marathon

The 2024 Beijing Marathon kicked off at Tian'anmen Square on Sunday, drawing around 30,000 participants from diverse backgrounds. Among the runners was a team from the Beijing branch of Running in the Dark, a charity running group established in October 2019 with a mission to promote equal opportunities in sports like running.
Supported by volunteer guides, runners with visual or hearing impairments were able to fully experience the marathon. As they crossed the finish line, the crowd erupted in cheers, celebrating the team's inspiring achievement and their journey to complete the marathon. Click the video to see them in action.
