Taking the theme of mutual learning among civilizations, the 2024 China International Confucius Cultural Festival will open in Qufu in Shandong province, on Sept 27.

Five main programs, including a grand ceremony celebrating Confucianism, and the tracing of Confucius temples and academies around the world, as well as 100 cultural and tourist performances, exhibitions and folk experiences revolving around Confucius will be held.

Around 370 guests from China and abroad have been invited to participate in the festival, which seeks to boost the influence of Chinese culture.
