7.6-magnitude quake jolts Chile: CENC
BEIJING - An earthquake measuring 7.6 on the Richter scale jolted Chile at 10:22 pm Sunday (Beijing Time), according to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).
The epicenter, with a depth of 40 km, was monitored at 43.38 degrees south latitude and 73.81 degrees west longitude.
The center initially said it was a 7.5-magnitude quake based on preliminary measurement.
