VLADIVOSTOK, Russia - A spokesman of Russia's Eastern Military District said Tuesday pilots would conduct military drills on the same day involving over 20 fighters and bombers in the eastern Khabarovsk and Primorye regions.
The pilots would work on the interaction in the air and the cover-up of the bombers, and they would hold a live-fire exercise and bombing drills, Russian news agency TASS quoted Colonel Alexander Gordeev as saying.
The aircraft will simulate a situation in the Khabarovsk region where the Su-35S and Su-30SM fighters and Su-24M bombers are tasked with overcoming the air defense zone of an imaginary enemy in ultra-low altitudes.
Established in 2010 and headquartered in the eastern Khabarovsk region, the Eastern Military District covers the former Far Eastern Military District and part of the former Siberian Military District.
