Experts say they have detected a subsea incident in the maritime border area between Malaysia and Vietnam which occurred at 2:55:06 am local time on March 8, an hour and a half after the last contact with flight MH370.
The research group of Professor Wen Lianxing of the Earthquakes and Earth Interior Physics Laboratory of the University of Science and Technology of China also said the incident happened 116 km (72 miles) northeast from the last known location of the missing plane.
The findings could mean that the plane crashed - as the sea area where the experts said the incident happened is a non-seismic region.
