HOUSTON -- One people was killed and six others injured in a shooting after a brawl between rival gangs at a nightclub in Dallas, a city in the US state of Texas, spilled outside and turned violent early Sunday morning, local media reported.
The fight broke out around 1 am CST (0700 GMT) Sunday at the nightclub in south Dallas, where a party was held when there was a disturbance, which was broken up by security guards, the Dallas Morning News reported.
Gunshots were fired when the fight spilled outside the nightclub. One man, 21-year-old Terrance Carroll, was shot and later pronounced dead at a local hospital. Six others also got shot, but with no life-threatening injuries, according to the report.
Police arrested a suspect, Eugene Rudd, a 22-year-old man, on a charge of unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon. No other information is available.
