Little Erhei's Marriage tells a story which happens in a remote mountainous village of Shanxi province in 1942. In this village, militia head Little Erhei defeats enemies with resolute bravery, so he is awarded as a model sharpshooter. He falls in love with the villager girl Xiaoqin. Residents of the whole village feel happy for them. However, Erhei's father and Xiaoqin's mother strongly oppose to their marriage. Erhei's father is superstitious, who thinks his son should take a child bride according to the will of heaven. Xiaoqin's mother deliberately makes mystifying behavior to force Xiaoqin to marry the old rich man Wu Guangrong. At the same time, with evil intent for Xiaoqin, village ruffian Jin Wang takes the opportunity to incite and instigate, trying to break the relationship between Xiaoqin and Erhei. However, the young lovers are not intimidated by feudal arbitrary decision, and they make more resolute resistance!
