England native Jamie has had a passion for cooking since he was young. Occasionally, the 23-year-old rides his bikes through Beijing's hutong, selling his home-made hummus.

He makes the hummus mostly for fun, saying he enjoys seeing how Chinese people react to his food. But now, after spending some time in China, Jamie is working on opening his own restaurant in Beijing. "Beijing is more happening. Beijing is more alive and Beijing has more opportunities," he says.

Having majored in Chinese in college, Jamie is fluent in spoken Chinese as well as written Chinese. He also has a Chinese Weibo account under 英國(guó)大米(English rice).
