Students use boats to reach school

In some remote areas of China, people still find it difficult to get a modern and fast way of transport. When it comes to young students, the situation is especially bad.

For the nearly 100 primary school and kindergarten students living in a reservoir area in Southwest China's Sichuan province, the only way to reach school is by taking a boat through the reservoir.

Each day, their parents or grandparents take two round trips to get them to school and back home. The one-way trip takes 20 minutes to more than an hour for them.
