Renmin University gets special spring break
The students and teachers of Renmin University are able to fully enjoy the beautiful spring, due to a unique holiday arrangement, stirring envy on social media, reported Beijing Youth Daily on Wednesday.
The prestigious school began giving the students "spring holidays" each year since 2004 to give them a chance to get out of the ivory tower and learn about the real world. This year's spring holiday lasts eight days because it joins up with the May Day holiday.
As the only one among Beijing's universities that has spring holidays, Renmin University became the envy of many other college students on the Internet. As one netizen put it, "Why is it always other people's schools that are so nice?"
