Achievements: One of China's most recent sports icons;

Gold medalist in the men's 800m freestyle at 2009 World Aquatics Championships, China's first ever gold medal by a male swimmer in a world swimming competition in the past 73 years;

Silver medalist in the men's 400m freestyle at the Beijing 2008 Olympics Games, the best Olympic swimming finish ever by a Chinese male swimmer;

Guangzhou Asiad: A relay gold medal, two bronze medals in the 400m and 1,500m race, the fourth place in the men's 200m freestyle.
