E-town holds China-Japan International Rehabilitation and Elderly Care Conference
The China-Japan International Rehabilitation and Elderly Care Conference was recently held in the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area, or E-town. The conference was hosted by the National Research Center for Rehabilitation Technical Aids. More than 100 experts and scholars from top research and education facilities discussed rehabilitation technical aids theory, scientific planning and high-tech applications.
China has placed importance on rehabilitation aids in recent years. The country has proposed to fully support R&D and production of such aids and strengthen allocation. The conference focused on developing auxiliary technical aids. Participants proposed policies for future rehabilitation and care and they referred to practical experience from developed countries.
The conference aimed to boost exchange and cooperation at all walks of life, including government, universities and producers. It hoped to boost the use of rehabilitation aids in elderly care. The meeting will help transform the National Research Center for Rehabilitation Technical Aids into a hub for elderly care and disability assistance and accumulate experience.
