In my opinion, the new judicial interpretation of the Marriage Law actually protects fewer people's rights and undermines many others' interests, in most cases, women's.

Generally, women play a very important role in the family in China. They always make more contributions to the family than men. Besides taking care of the family and raising children, they have to work hard in the competitive world to make a living, too.

But when a marriage falls apart, the efforts they have made for the family cannot be taken into consideration according to the Marriage Law. And some of them may even lose the house they once lived in. I think this is somewhat unfair to some women.
