Yunxian township in Pu'er, Yunnan province, launched pilot e-commerce project on Sept 1, opening more trade websites to local villagers.
According to Simao district's commercial department, Pu'er Shengxinda Culture and Communication Co. will help every village in Yunxian open a website to introduce the village and offer online shopping. Villagers can made online purchases through the new platform.
In addition, more training in rural e-commerce will be provided to locals to help people start their own businesses and support rural economic organizations.
Yunxian township was selected as the one-year pilot for rural e-commerce in Pu'er, announced Simao district's commercial department.
