The Datong National Calligraphy Contest, in the city of Datong, Shanxi province, birthplace of the Wei Tablet Inscriptions, reached the finals, on Oct 16, after an evaluation by professional calligraphers in the city.
There are 193 work selected for the public dispaly, 18 of them marked 'excellent'. All the chosen works will be on display at the city's Heyang Gallery, in November, and will be copied for a special album.
