Jiading's leading private museums and galleries

        ( chinadaily.com.cn ) 2017-02-14

The increasing popularity of art collecting among Chinese citizens in recent years has led to the establishment of many private museums and art galleries dotted around the country.

In Jiading, a district of Shanghai, no fewer than 38 private museums and galleries have sprung up. They constitute a vital window onto the arts and have become an important part of Jiading's cultural sector, one neatly complementing government run galleries.

Here we take a close look at some of the area's most enticing private cultural sites.
