Dandong, the northeastern Chinese city that borders the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), will host a Sino-DPRK economic and cultural exposition in June 2012.
The expo was set between representatives from Dandong in the Liaoning province and the DPRK on Dec 12. Four cooperation agreements on foreign trade, culture, arts and tourism were also signed between the two sides on the same day.
According to the memorandum, the expo will include a commodity fair, a series of talks on trade, investment, human resources and tourism, an expo of tourism resources on both sides, a Yalu River tourist route launching ceremony and an exhibition of the DPRK's artworks.
One of the DPRK's top troupes will come to Dandong to give their performances during the fair.
