Shuifeng Lake – a State 4A-class tourist area – is one of six key national scenic areas and the Northeast's largest freshwater lake. It is 162 kilometers long, and ?covers a ?415-sq-km area, of the southeastern part of Kuandian County, and is the largest of six scenic areas along Yalu River. You might see groups of mallard ducks at play in its blue-green water or egrets flying above the nearby mountains.
The State Council approved the Yalu River Scenic Area as a key national key scenic spot in 1988. Shuifeng is one of the most beautiful ??natural spots in the entire Yalu River Scenic Area. It is a border corridor connecting China with the Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea, with a unique environment and the perfect place to enjoy the scenery of both sides of the river. For sightseers, there is the aquarium, and a large natural beach and summer resort.
