Jiangxi to build landscape tourism

With a reputation for its beautiful mountains and rivers, Jiangxi province will develop its landscape tourism, Chinanews reported.

It plans to set up 10 domestic first-class landscape tourism scenic spots, 20 regional landscape tourism scenic spots, hoping to welcome 180 million visitors in 2015, said a Jiangxi Landscape Tourism Conference official.

Visitors and revenues generated from landscape tourism have accounted for 60 percent of tourists and revenues for the provincial tourist sector, said the deputy governor of Jiangxi province.

During Golden Week, Jiangxi province has received 24.06 million tourists; a year on year increase of 35.34 percent and tourism revenue reached a record high 10.19 billion yuan ($ 1.70 billion), up 45.14 percent from last year.

There are 7 world scenic spots, 16 national scenic spots and 45 national 4A scenic areas in Jiangxi, said the director of the provincial tourism bureau.

Its tourism bureau is making more efforts to set up world-famous landscape scenic spots in Mount Lu, Jianggang Mountains and Mount Longhu.
