The cold air arriving in Jiangxi caused a drop in temperature and an increase in rainfall. This swept the Lushan Mountain area and a mist hung around the mountain with a thin coat of ice covered the rock. This spectacular scene has caught the attention of tourists who came to admire the sight.
The rain that drips on vegetation immediately freezes and wraps the leaves and flowers in crystal ice. A great number of tourists were immersed in watching the beautiful scenery and some took photos to record the moment.
There are free tickets offered for the tourist boom this winter. Mr. Hu, a tourist from Guangdong who came to Lushan Mountain for the first time told a journalist that Lushan Mountain was very impressive, "the icy trees look just like crystal pearls, not the ordinary trees seen in the spring. They resemble sugar-coated berries."
