Ganzhou International Orange Festival to open

The third Ganzhou International Orange Festival opening ceremony will be held on Nov 29 in the city stadium. It aims to promote and expand the market of Gannan navel oranges.

The opening ceremony performance will be framed by the themes of green, orange and red.

Green means “Green Rising”, referring to the ecological features of Ganzhou. It also represents the 9 million Hakka people dedicated to the development of navel orange industry.

Orange represents “Orange Hope”. Gannan navel oranges have become the “master tree” of southern Jiangxi agriculture, the “rich tree” of the rural area, and the "money-making tree” for the people.

Red represents “Splendid Earth”, referring to the land on which Ganzhou people created “the world’s largest high-quality navel orange industry base”.
