Zhangjiagang Urban Management Bureau is recruiting volunteers to be urban management officers in the city in Jiangsu province and will found the urban management volunteer association to call on citizens to join in urban management work to build a better home.

An official from the bureau who is in charge of recruitment said both local residents and newly arrived residents are being encouraged to apply for volunteering as long as they have enough time and energy, and are willing to work on urban management.

The association aims to solve problems in urban management and guide the public to take part in work to enhance people’s sense of responsibility. It will hold regular training sessions for the volunteers, leading them to understand urban management and support it. The volunteers are expected to influence people around them, making up a good administration environment for urban management.
