Guiyang will cancel restrictions on purchasing houses from 1st September and the amount of house purchasing will no longer be limited in the city, the municipal housing and urban bureau announced on Wednesday. Then, people can buy houses without providing a tax certificate.
Guiyang implemented the restrictive measure on purchasing houses in February 2011 restricting local people who already had one house to only be allowed to buy one more.
With the city developing big data industry and improving its transportation, its upgrade development has attracted an increasing number of people to work and buy houses, so Guiyang decided to cancel the restrictive measure to optimize the real estate market, according to a director of the municipal housing and urban bureau.
Among 46 cities in the nation that restricted house purchases, 36 cities so far have canceled or loosened the restriction.
