For some university graduates, life tends to be dedicated to ideals such as finding a good job, a high salary and a social status. For others, they seem to be dedicated to starting their own businesses.

Three university graduates, Dai Shiwen, Tang Mingyong and Zhong Shunjie, from Guizhou's Fuquan city gave up their jobs with respectable income in big cities and went back to their hometown of Luping county in Fuquan city to start an agriculture business.

When asked why they made such a decision, the three agreed that the agriculture industry has broad prospects for development and eco-agriculture products will have an increasing market demand.

Also known as Guizhou's "three musketeers", the three young business starters launched a fruit and vegetable picking garden. Vegetables and fruits with high nutritional value including purple Chinese yam, purple potato and pitaya are available in the garden. As planned, the garden is expected to have an area of 200 mu (13.33 hectares).

However, starting businesses is not always easy, and they may not progress smoothly.

In June, Luping county suffered a once-in-a-decade rainstorm. During the storm, vegetables and fruits were damaged, causing a loss of over 100,000 yuan ($15,052). During such a difficult time, employees of the garden proposed to receive payment with delay to help alleviate the economic pressure.

After realizing these three business starters' financial and technology difficulties, local authorities of Luping county also made efforts in helping them exclude the difficulties and provide them with free accommodations.

A support fund of 200,000 yuan was also issued by Fuquan municipal government, bringing new impetus to the start-up project.
