Guizhou province will host three conferences to promote local products and attract investment in the following week, according to a press conference held on Sept 4.
The 2017 Cross-border Investment and Trade Fair of the Guizhou Inland Opening–up Pilot Economic Zone will take place from Sept 8 to 10 in the Gui'an New Area.
"So far, 258 international and domestic companies will come to discuss cooperation with 574 Guizhou companies," said Lu Zhengyong, vice-governor of Guizhou. Overseas companies who have agreed to attend the trade fair include Russia, Canada and Germany. They intend to cooperate with Guizhou companies in the fields of manufacturing, new materials, digital information, modern agriculture and tourism.
Guizhou companies and entrepreneurs across the world will gather in Anshun to exchange ideas during the conference.
The seventh Alcoholic Drinks Trade Fair will also be held from Sept 9 to 12, with some 2,000 alcohol companies exhibiting and selling their products.
The trade fair is expected to be an important platform for Guizhou province to communicate with the outside world. To build on its past successes, the fair will launch a comprehensive exhibition hall to display the integration of alcoholic products with Guizhou culture, tourism and the internet.
