The 11th Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Regional Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), the governmental policy advisory body, concluded its fourth session in Nanning, capital of Guangxi, on Jan 27.

The session approved the work report of the CPPCC Standing Committee which summed up the development in Guangxi in 2015 and adopted the work plan of Guangxi CPPCC for the coming year.

Chen Jiwa, chairman of Guangxi committee of CPPCC, hosted the session and delivered a closing speech. He said that 2016 was the first year of the 13th Five-Year Plan and spoke of the desire to build a moderately prosperous society. Chen said, "Guangxi has to pursue a correct political direction and draw on the wisdom of the masses to optimize the development pattern and accelerate healthy economic development."

Peng Qinghua, secretary of Guangxi Party committee and director of Guangxi People's Congress Standing Committee, attended the closing plenary. Representatives of Guangxi CPPCC members from Hechi such as Liu Xianming and Luo Rixin were also present at the meeting.
