Some 26 households from the Miao stockade village of Sien town, Huanjiang Maonan autonomous county in Hechi, Guangxi, celebrated recently as they received their annual bonus from the Jiawen Fruit Industrial Cooperative.

The annual bonus general meeting was held on Jan 13 and the Miao households that took part in the scheme received bonuses ranging from 50,000 yuan ($7,590) to 150,000 yuan each.

In recent years, Huanjiang's experienced large-scale cooperatives in seedling cultivation, fruit tree pest control, orchard modernization management and fruit wholesale, have taken in fruit growers in rural areas, facilitating them to overcome poverty and achieve prosperity.
