Foreign trade through Zhanjiang port sees steady rise
By Zhong Xinyuan Updated: 2015-09-15
The value of exports and imports made through Zhanjiang port in the first eight months of 2015 ranked third in Guangdong province, according to the Zhanjiang Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau on Sept 10.
The inspection and quarantine bureau carried out checks on 11,236 batches of goods worth $9.08 billion, and issued 5,855 certificates of origins (C/O) to enterprises, for goods valued at $418 million.
Meanwhile, the bureau built up a public service platform to help enterprises enjoy import tariff exemptions and reductions. It also applied regional inspection procedures and checks on exported sea products to reinforce Zhanjiang's sea brand strategy.
