A vocational college in Pingtan, Fujian province has reached a deal on tourism professional training with the Fujian Zhonghui Cultural Tourism Development Co on Dec 30, 2015. The deal was made when they together held an evening gala to celebrate the upcoming New Year.

As per the agreement, Pingtan Vocational School will be a talent pool for the tourism company, while the company will function as a vocational training base for the school.

An official said that, to further enhance the cooperation, the school will set up a special class for students who want to work in Zhonghui upon graduation. Some of their lectures will be given by the company's tourism professionals.

And to help the students learn about the society and the job in advance, junior students of the school will be able to work as interns at Zhonghui.

"This school-enterprise cooperation model is a win-win for both sides. Companies can get employees that suit their needs. And schools can provide students with more internship and job opportunities," said Chen Yuhui, Party branch secretary of the school.

Chen further explained that this model is in line with the nation's plan to accelerate the development of modern vocational education and the cooperation will help Pingtan reach its goal of becoming an international tourist destination.
