A fire fighting drill, co-hosted by the county Tourism Administration, the county Fire Brigade and the Work Safety Supervision Bureau, officially kicked off on June 11 at Zhongkai International Hotel. More than 100 people from tourism sectors and travel companies participated in this drill.

There was an alarm operation drill, evacuation and rescue drill, emergency escape and professional assistance drill; and hotel safety managers directly learned how to raise the alarm when a fire broke out, how to manage the evacuation, how to rescue trapped guests, how to escape the scene of a fire and how to organize the fire brigade to put out the initial fire and so on, by which the emergency response capacity of those star-rated hotels was further improved and their target goals were achieved.

It was reported that this fire drill aimed to further enhance the companies’ awareness of fire safety, strengthen the staff’s capabilities to escape or save themselves and boost the “safe production month” activities.
