Abstract: Building a community with shared future for mankind is the general goal of China’s foreign policy in the new era as well as a core part of Xi Jinping Thought on Diplomacy. To achieve the goal and build a clean and beautiful world in an open and inclusive manner based on lasting peace, universal security and common prosperity, the international community needs to make efforts on promoting mutual partnership, global security, economic development, civilization exchanges and ecological building. Building new international relations and improving global governance system are fundamental and major approaches to building a community with shared future for humankind. Meanwhile, the Belt and Road Initiative has provided a significant platform for putting the concept into practice. All parties need to uphold the principle of mutual respect, fairness, justice and cooperation for win-win results and establish state-to-state relationship based on dialogue and partnership rather than confrontation and alliance. The international community needs to adhere to the global governance concept of achieving shared benefits through consultations and co-construction, promote the transformation of global governance system and advance the Belt and Road Initiative to promote common development.
