On April 19, the groundbreaking ceremony of Hefei Wanda Cultural Tourist City's international theme park was held in Binhu district, Hefei city.
The ceremony began at 10:18. Wang Qin, general manager of the park said in his speech that the Wanda Cultural Tourist City would integrate modern technology and traditional Chinese culture to present the glamour of Chinese culture to tourists through dynamic experiences. And Hefei would truly become a famous cultural tourism city.
According to Ning Bo, the director of Hefei Binhu Administrative Committee, establishment of this tourist city will promote the development of Binhu district and even that of Hefei as it will increase Hefei's visibility as a tourist destination and promote the quality of cultural tourism in the city. The theme park will be located by Chaohu Lake.
During the ceremony, Jan Maarten de Raad, CEO & owner of Jora Vision, the design company of the theme park, presented a thorough introduction of his designs. Perfectly combining exotic elements and Hui culture, the design applies a unique story line and is divided into six separate theme zones, each representing a story about ancient Huizhou (parts of Anhui province).
