After 2010's La Traviata, the National Center for the Performing Arts (NCPA) will work with conductor Lorin Maazel and present another classic opera, Rossini's Barbiere di Siviglia (The Barber of Seville), from Nov 24 to Nov 27.
This opera, a co-production of the center and Castleton Festival, will feature vocalists Liao Changyong, Wang Hongyao, Yang Yang and Tian Haojiang. Conducted by Maazel, China NCPA Orchestra and the NCPA Chorus will perform the opera.
La Traviata will be the second Rossini opera the NCPA has presented, after La Cenerentola, which was staged in mid-October.
