“春節(jié)放假,請算上除夕!”
關(guān)于修改傳統(tǒng)節(jié)假日的議案成為兩會期間的熱門話題。據(jù)報道,中國政協(xié)委員、非物質(zhì)文化遺產(chǎn)保護專家馮驥才日前已提出議案,申請大年三十為國家法定假日。

move up the Spring Festival holiday by one day to include the Chinese New Year's

In recent years Feng has developed a reputation for his efforts to preserve
China's folk culture and halt the decline of some traditional arts.
報道中的intangible cultural heritage就是“非物質(zhì)文化遺產(chǎn)”。Intangible意指“something that
cannot be perceived by the senses”(無形的東西,尤其是感覺不到的資產(chǎn)),舉個通俗的例子:The intangible
value of love lies in the mutual trust.(愛情中最無形的價值在于雙方互相信任。)
Heritage指“something that is passed down from preceding generations;especially
a tradition”(由前輩傳下來的東西,尤強調(diào)傳統(tǒng)),如:We Chinese have a rich heritage of
folklore.(我們的民間文化傳統(tǒng)很豐富。)
