The chief representative of the China branch of World Luxury Association revealed that in 2012, the organization and administrative departments will cooperate to improve luxury goods after-sale issues in China, including after-sale service and product quality inspection.
At present, a number of luxurious goods manufacturers focus on improving sales in China and always neglect after-sale service. Customers find it difficult to repair or maintain the products after purchasing them. Some require customers mailing their products back to the countries or regions where they buy them for maintenance, and some even ask for mailing fees. In this way the manufacturers may lower cost in a short period, but it is obviously not good for their long-term run in China. Many Chinese customers believe luxurious products are cheaper in the US, Europe and Hong Kong, so they buy luxurious goods in these areas. This is also a reason for the situation.
