Now that their former lover is going to settle down with his current girlfriend, it seems actresses Nicole Kidman and Penelope Cruz may also let go of their enmity and join hands to work together in a film.

Tom Cruise's ex-wife Kidman is set to star alongside his latest former lover Cruz in a new movie.

Spanish film-maker Pedro Almodovar and Cruz are hoping to persuade the Oscar winner to join the director's forthcoming untitled project.

"Pedro knows I love and admire Nicole's work so much. She's a great woman," Contactmusic quoted Cruz, as saying.

Cruise split from Volver beauty Cruz in January 2004 after two and a half years together. The couple went public with their relationship in July 2001 - just weeks before Cruise officially divorced Kidman.(ANI)
