Shares in Lenovo Group, the largest Chinese maker of personal computers, rose Thursday after three buyout funds bought a stake in the company for $350 million.
.
Lenovo shares closed at 2.65 Hong Kong dollars, or 34 U.S. cents, up 4 percent. Texas Pacific Group, General Atlantic Partners and Newbridge Capital will together own a 12 percent stake in the Beijing-based company and each will be represented on its board.
.
The investment will help fund Lenovo's $1.25 billion purchase of the personal computer unit of International Business Machines.
If the workers do approve the buyout, their company will become the nation's largest employee-owned enterprise.(如果工人們確實贊同這樁交易,那么他們的公司將變成全國最大的雇員所有的企業(yè)。)
