3月9日,聯(lián)想集團(tuán)通過(guò)了美國(guó)外國(guó)投資委員會(huì)(CFIUS)關(guān)于其收購(gòu)IBM公司PC業(yè)務(wù)的審查,聯(lián)想控股公司總裁柳傳志顯然松了一口氣,并表示新聯(lián)想有望在今年第二季度正式掛牌運(yùn)營(yíng)。外電報(bào)如下:Lenovo Group has obtained U.S. government clearance for the purchase of IBM's PC unit.
In response to national security concerns, IBM offered to tweak the deal, according to news reports. These tweaks included limiting Lenovo's access to U.S. government customers as well as physically sealing off buildings to be shared by the two companies.
The measures were requested by U.S. officials to limit the threat of industrial espionage. With the concessions in place, Lenovo has gained the necessary approval to go ahead with the deal.
Clearance在此表示“官方證明書”,即官方出具的、對(duì)(企業(yè))無(wú)過(guò)失、信譽(yù)度等方面的證明。此外,Clearance還有“清潔;清理過(guò)的空間;清光林木的空曠地;清倉(cāng)大拍賣”等多種含義。
據(jù)悉,聯(lián)想收購(gòu)IBM公司PC業(yè)務(wù)的實(shí)際交易價(jià)格為17.5億美元,其中含6.5億美元現(xiàn)金、6億美元股票及5億美元的債務(wù)。收購(gòu)?fù)瓿珊螅?lián)想將成為全球第3大PC廠商,年收入規(guī)模約120億,進(jìn)入世界500強(qiáng)企業(yè)。
