        Updated: 2004-08-01 13:24

A collection of works on military affairs by late Chinese leader Deng Xiaoping (1904-1997) has been jointly published by the Central Documents and Files Publishing House and the Chinese Academy of Military Sciences.

The title of the book, published with the approval of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and the CMC, is inscribed in the autograph of Jiang Zemin, chairman of the CentralMilitary Commission (CMC).

The book, with approximately 800,000 Chinese characters, consists of 232 articles, reports, speeches, telegraphs, decrees, letters, and inscriptions by Deng during different periods of China's CPC-led revolution and modernization drive. Many of these are being made public for the first time.
