Wen inspected the oil production facilities, listened to a work report by Chen Tonghai, general manager of Sinopec, and spoke highly of the group's achievements.

He extended festival greetings to the oil workers and gave his bliss to all the people working in the oil industry.

In the evening, Wen went to the dormitories of the oil workers and asked them about their working and living conditions, encouraging them to drill more oil for the country. He told accompanying local officials to help oil workers solve their practical difficulties.

Then he went to the dining hall and ate dumplings with the workers in celebration of the Year of Dog.
