Premier vows to boost Sino-French strategic partnership (Xinhua) Updated: 2005-12-05 14:46
TOULOUSE, France -- Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao, upon his arrival here Sunday
on the start of a four-day official visit to France, said that he hopes to
further promote continued de velopment of an all-round strategic partnership
between China and France.
In a written speech delivered at the airport, Wen said China and France have
conducted intensive cooperation in the fields of economy, science and
technology, culture and education.
"The China-France Culture Year activities held in both countries have
succeeded in contributing to mutual promoting understanding and friendship
between the Chinese and French as well as the Chinese and European peoples," the
Chinese premier said.
Wen said that during the visit, he would have in-depth exchangeof views with
French leaders on issues of common concern so as to push forward the all-round
Sino-French strategic partnership.
He will hold talks with French Prime Minister Dominique de Villepin, meet
with French President Jacques Chirac and President of the French National
Assembly Jean-louis Debre, deliver a speech in Paris and sign a series of
cooperation agreements.
